			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What is SEA?</p>
<p>The Southeast Environmental Association (SEA) was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1992. SEA is directed by a board of directors consisting of fifteen volunteers representing various sectors of our society including business, government, youth and education. The volunteer board is lead by an Executive Committee consisting of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.</p>
<p>SEA Objectives</p>
<p>To implement a comprehensive environmental management plan.<br />
To work with area communities and stakeholders on their vision for a better environment.<br />
To promote environmental stewardship through public education and awareness programming.<br />
To create pilot projects involving communities and stakeholders demonstrating solutions to environmental problems.</p>

<p>Thank You to everyone who participated in the Watershed Management Planning public meetings. An advisory committee has been working hard to shape the Montague/Valleyfield watershed management plan and is ready to present it to the public for input. The following meetings are scheduled: March 10th &#8211; Iona Hall March 12th &#8211; Heatherdale Hall March 17th &#8211; St.Mary&#8217;s Chruch Hall, Montague</p>
<p>Litter News</p>
<p>A few things to remember: Household hazardous waste such as cleaners, aerosol cans, pesticides, insecticides, and paints should not be disposed of in regular waste; they are accepted free of charge at IWMC sites. Large furniture, appliances and tires are accepted free of charge at IWMC sites as well. Consider purchasing products with less packaging and remember to use cloth shopping bags.</p>
